BELLEVUE UNIVERSITY OFFERS TWO CHINESE LANGUAGE & CULTURE CLASSES

Bellevue University, in association with the University of Nebraska-Lincoln's Confucius Institute, offers two non-credit Chinese culture and Mandarin language courses. Each course offers an interactive classroom environment designed for individuals who wish to do business with, travel to, or simply learn more about China.

Chinese Language Demonstration

Is Chinese really as hard to learn as it may seem? Learning to recognize the Chinese characters is easier than you may think! Did you know that Chinese has a phonetic system with sounds similar to English and that the shape of many basic characters are like pictures of the object? Confucius Institute Lecture Series

Dr. Chuming Wang, President of Chinese Society of Second Language Research and Professor of English at Guangdong University of Foreign Studies, China, will be our guest lecturer on Thursday, November 5th from 4:00 - 5:00 pm in Othmer Hall Rm 105.   The presentation will be on Context and Language Transfer.   Please join us for a reception following the lecture.  All are invited to attend.
