American High School Students Summer Bridge Camp in China
Confucius Institute will host up to 30 students from the Nebraska public schools on a Chinese Summer Bridge Camp to be held July 16-31, 2015. The students will deepen their understanding of China and Chinese customs by participating in classes and other activities and visit many historical and cultural sites. Up to 700 American students will travel to China to take part in this important summer camp.

SCC Chinese Class
The Humanities Program at Southeast Community College in collaboration with the Confucius Institute at UNL will be offering Beginning Chinese classes at the SCC downtown site. Dr. Xiaoning Zhang, a visiting scholar from Xi’an Polytechnic University, will be teaching these classes. Registration is now open for CHIN-1010-ES31 (Beginning Chinese I). HSK Test Information
2015 December HSK Test at UNL-CI
The Confucius Institute at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln is a test center for HSK, the standardized Chinese proficiency test. HSK measures the ability of non-native Chinese speakers to communicate in Chinese in daily life, academic, and work settings.
Any person is welcome to register and participate in the test which will be administered on December 5, 2015.
April HSK Test

HSK is the official test administered by the Hanban/Confucius Institute Headquarters to assess learners’ proficiency in Chinese language and to select participants for Conficius Institute Scholarships. The Confucius Institute at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln is a test center for HSK and will hold the test twice every year. Anyone in Nebraska is welcome to register and participate in the test. Fall Cooking Classes
2016 Fall Cooking Class
Monday, September 26th 6:00 - 7:30 pm 206 Leverton Hall on UNL East Campus
The September Chinese cooking class will feature Salty Crispy Chicken and Sweet and Sour Shrimp. In class, we will give instruction and demonstrations following step-by-step recipes. You are welcome to participate and get hands-on experience cooking authentic Chinese food and trying the new taste cooked in class. Registration will start two weeks before the class.

The College of Education and Human Sciences at UNL is sponsoring a summer Chinese Language, Culture and Technology Academy from July 10-24, 2016.
