Fall 2020 Confucius Institute Classes

While the Confucius Institute will still hold community Chinese classes this fall, in an abundance of caution due to the covid-19 pandemic, the Confucius Institute will have limited offerings available this semester and will follow all UNL/UNO and local government public health guidelines. At the moment, it is still unclear if community classes will be held in-person or online and will largely depend on university/local policies and are subject to change as the situation changes. Nonetheless, the Confucius Institute is prepared for both possibilities and will make an announcement at the end of August. Currently, online course offerings appear more likely and if so they will be conducted via zoom with assignments on google classroom. If classes are held in person, classes will be capped at 12 students, all students will be required to wear face mask, and maintain a minimum 6 ft. distance from other students and teachers. Also note that classes will meet weekly for 12 weeks with no breaks this year.
