Focuses:
- Teach Chinese language to university and K-12 students, interested members of the public, and others
- Prepare teachers of Chinese in K-12 and higher education
- Prepare examinees and administer the Chinese Proficiency Test (HSK) to certify ability to teach Chinese as a foreign language
- Teach Chinese courses and workshops, both credit and non-credit, to promote areas of competency for various groups (students, corporate interests, community groups)
- Sponsor academic activities and Chinese competitions
- Sponsor Chinese cultural events
- Advise individuals wishing to study, do business, or travel in China
- Make available reference materials for educators and other professionals
- Partner with public and private entities to serve communities, businesses, and schools
